We want groups to be delighted to share and view photos. This includes making it easy to collaborate as a group and share photos in one place. In a prior post, we described how we make it easy for people to upload photos from just about anywhere. Now, we want to tell you about one of our favorite and least known ways to view photos from a group – People View.
What is People View?
You may have noticed that group albums tend to have more photos than individual albums. This isn’t surprising given that group albums, by their nature, have more than one person adding photos. So, sometimes looking at all 1,002 thumbnails of the album in Grid View, viewing each photo in Picture View, or playing the animated slideshow in Movie View can be too time-consuming. If your friend Sam said, “I got this awesome photo of you from the mountain biking trip” or “I got this once-in-a-lifetime shot of you at the wedding,” don’t you just want to go to Sam’s photos to check it out? That’s why we have People View. So, you can view photos by Contributor.

And, there are other benefits to viewing photos by Contributor. You can choose to Follow Sam to stay up to date on all his Public albums. You will also see who has Liked photos in the album, who has Liked the album and gets updates whenever new photos are added, and which ZangZing members have been invited to add photos to the album.

How to View Photos in People View
It’s really simple to view photos from the group in People View. When viewing the photos of the album, on the right side of the top toolbar, you will see 3 buttons. The button in the middle has the silhouette of a person. By clicking this button, you will go to People View.

Other Ways to View Photos in ZangZing
In addition to People View, ZangZing offers 4 other ways to view photos (and we are working on additional ways to filter, sort, etc., which we hope to have out soon).
1. Photo Grid View
Photo Grid View makes it easy to quickly scan the thumbnail photos in the album. To get to this view, on the right side of the top toolbar, click on the button with the 4 squares that, well, look like a grid.

2. Activity View
Activity View is very helpful when you want see the lastest activities that have occurred on the album. It’s a list of activity by time. For example, you can see which photos were Liked in the album, who Liked the album, who shared photos in the album, who shared the entire album, who commented on the album, and so on and so forth. To see this view, on the right side of the top toolbar, click on the button with 3 horizontal lines that looks like a memo.

3. Picture View
If you want to see a photo in a large format, just click on the thumbnail photo to go to Picture View. With high resolution photos and a large screen, this viewing experience can be better than high definition TV. At the bottom of the screen, you will also see a film strip of all the photos in the album. Mouse-over the film strip to see the photos in a slightly larger view, and when you have found the one you want to see, just click on it. Finally, by clicking on the Comment button in the bottom toolbar, you can choose to view or not view the comments on the photos.

4. Movie View
If you prefer seeing photos in an animated slideshow, Movie View is for you. When you click on the Play button in the center of the bottom toolbar, the photos will be displayed against a black background. You can either sit back and watch the photos scroll by, or you can click to see the next photo, the previous photo, or pause on a photo. And, you can choose to view in full screen mode with captions on or off.

We hope this helps to maximize your photo viewing experience. You can learn more about viewing and sharing photos or Join for Free or Sign in to add your latest and greatest photos.
