Upload Photos from Just About Anywhere

At ZangZing, we want to make sharing photos fun, rather than a pain in the #$%#@! A big part of that is making it easy. One of the most common frustrations of sharing photos is how to upload photos from different places. We think we’ve come up with a pretty easy and fun way to do it.

Upload Photos from Different Places

When we asked people about how they share photos, we were amazed that most everyone had photos saved just about everywhere – on their computers, external drives, iPhones, Androids, and all the different photo services on the web such as Facebook, Flickr, Dropbox, Instagram, PhotoBucket, Picasa, Shutterfly, SmugMug, and Kodak Gallery. No wonder sharing photos was no fun – people have their photos everywhere. So, our first challenge was to make it easy for people to upload photos from all these different places.

We have Three Simple Solutions for Uploading Photos

1. Connect to most of the popular photo websites to upload photos. It’s as easy as entering your username and password. We support Facebook, Flickr, Dropbox, Instagram, Kodak Gallery, Shutterfly, Smugmug, Picasa Web, and Photobucket.
2. Use the ZangZing Desktop Photo Uploader or Simple Web Uploader to upload photos from your computer, an external drive, iPhoto, or Picasa Desktop. For lots of photos, we recommend the ZangZing Photo Uploader. It’s fast and it works in the background so you don’t have to wait while your photos upload.
3. Email photos from anywhere, including from your iPhone, Android, Blackberry, or other mobile phones.

We know it’s easier to upload photos when you can see the photo thumbnails, view the photos in a larger size, or upload all the photos in an album at one time. We give you those options whenever we can.

So now you can use ZangZing to move your photos to one place. And, we do not believe in “pic-napping.” We save and let you download your full resolution photos whenever you want.

Uploading Photos Makes Group Albums a Snap

We’ve all been there. At that event with a big group taking photos. Think about the wedding with all those once-in-a-lifetime shots, the annual camping trip, or the soccer game with lots of parents taking photos. If you set up a ZangZing album, each person from the group can upload photos from essentially wherever they want. Then, the photos from the event will be in one place, making it easy to pick the best shot out of the bunch to save, print, or frame.

Now when you can upload photos from all these different places, it makes photo sharing easy. You or the big group can upload photos to one place, and then the fun begins. You get to share, view, and comment on photos with the group. That’s social and really fun. So here’s a quick guide on how to upload photos on ZangZing.

How to Upload Photos

1. When you create a new album or edit an existing album, in the “Add Photos” step, click the place from which to upload your photos.
2. Click on any of the thumbnails to upload the photo to ZangZing. You will see a plus-sign when you mouse-over the thumbnail photo.
3. To see a larger version of the photo, when you mouse-over the thumbnail, click on the magnifying glass in the bottom right corner of the photo.
4. Click on “Add All Photos” to upload all the photos in the folder to ZangZing. That’s it. Your photos are uploading.
